Section 1 – Comfort level and anticipated return
Through our survey, we are looking to better understand consumers’ comfort level and timeline for anticipated return to a variety of activities in the travel and leisure sectors. We provide recent travelers anticipated timeline for feeling comfortable with some activities as well as when they expect to return.
Section 2 – Cruise in focus
In light of the high perceived risk/concern and low comfort level tied to cruising, we looked at how respondents’ relationship to cruising changed in light of COVID-19. We look at the relationship between past cruise frequency and the respondent’s view of the risk of cruising. We also evaluate various changes the cruise lines could make and how important those would be to potential cruisers.
Section 3 – Path to purchase/book next trip or cruise and path back to pre-COVID levels of travel/cruising
We asked travelers to check all the steps that apply in planning their next vacation or business trip (Google search, Brand.com, OTA, reviews, etc.). We also run through the booking method for the last and anticipated next trip. We share respondents’ views on when their leisure, business, and cruise travel will get back to pre-COVID levels. We also share recent travelers’ perceptions and feelings on their recent return to flying and lodging in the last few months.
