The concept of a 3P marketplace, where sellers from all over the world can essentially list any product for any price, has fundamentally changed retail. This disruptive change has left many vendors at a loss for how to gain back control over unwanted sellers, product proliferation, counterfeits, brand integrity, and pricing consistency.To help brands identify tangible strategies to indeed take back control, Whitney Gibson, partner at Vorys Law Firm, will lead a strategy workshop designed to give brands tangible strategies to take back control Mr. Gibson is at the forefront of the new retail strategy for brands looking to better control the marketplace in order to grow faster and more profitably. His practice involves leading the implementation and execution, both domestically and internationally, of cutting-edge enforcement systems. In addition, he counsels clients on MAP programs, as well as distribution and eCommerce channel controls designed to preserve brand value and combat unauthorized sellers. Daren has a long history of representing some of the nation’s largest retailers.

Laura is an associate and a member of the technology and intellectual property group. As part of the Vorys online seller enforcement team, Laura counsels businesses on issues related to e-commerce and online brand protection and has assisted in facilitating the expansion of the illegal online seller enforcement program on a global scale. Laura also works with manufacturers on MAP policies and issues related to Resale Price Maintenance.
