Quarterly Travel Insights Webinar
The U.S. hotel industry finished 2024 on a strong note supported by better leisure demand and one-time events in 4Q (i.e. calendar shifts, hurricanes). Full year U.S. hotel demand growth of 0.5% was driven by group/corporate travel in upper chain scales, resulting in flat occupancy. ADR growth of 1.7% continued to under-pace inflation and operating costs, limiting margins.
Can a continued improvement in domestic leisure trends support accelerating demand growth in 2025? Group has been a source of strength…what do bookings suggest for the next 12 months? How could the new administration and macro backdrop impact consumer confidence, business travel, and international tourism flows?
