Rick Keyes is the President and CEO of Meijer, Inc., the family-owned and privately-held Grand Rapids, Mich.-based retailer that operates over 200 supercenters throughout Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, Kentucky and Wisconsin. Rick joined Meijer in 1989 as a pharmacy team member in Columbus, Ohio, while attending college.
A 29-year Meijer veteran, Rick was appointed President in October 2015 and named the first non-Meijer family member CEO in January 2017 after holding various leadership positions in pharmacy and store operations, as well as supply chain and manufacturing. Rick is the 11th President in the history of the company that employs more than 70,000 team members across the Midwest.
As President and CEO, he oversees all day-to-day operations and works closely with Executive Chairman Hank Meijer in developing and executing growth strategies. These strategies include a strong focus on enhancing the customer experience, driving team member engagement, and maintaining a competitive focus in the fast-paced retail industry while staying true to the Meijer values.
Prior to his appointment as President and CEO, Rick served as Executive Vice President of Supply Chain and Manufacturing, a role he had held since 2006. Prior to that role, Rick spent 15 years in retail operations, starting in Pharmacy, and becoming a Store Director, Market Director and Regional Vice President.
Rick received his Bachelor of Science Pharmacy degree from Ohio Northern University, where he now serves as a member of the Board of Trustees. Additionally, he serves on the Ohio State University College of Pharmacy Dean’s Corporate Council, National Association of Chain Drug Stores Board of Directors, as well as Retail Industry Leaders Association Board of Directors.

David J. Katz is chief marketing officer at Randa Accesories, a leading multi-national consumer products company, and the world’s largest men’s accessories business. His specialty is applying data, story-telling, technology and consumer behavior to create successful outcomes in evolving markets.
Named a fashion industry “Change Agent” by Women’s Wear Daily and a “Menswear Mover” by MR Magazine, he has been featured in The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, New York Magazine, Business Insider, The Huffington Post, and other publications. Mushahwar is the General Manager for US Enterprise, Government, SLED, and Cloud Industries at Intel and leads 9 different industry verticals in the US (Cloud, Retail, Transportation, Manufacturing, Energy, Financial Services, Government, SLED, and Health Life Sciences) and is accountable for ~$5B in sales. Her focus is on enabling companies to realize the value of innovative offerings and delivering end-to-end innovative solutions to the industry that solve real-world business problems. She was named by ChainStoreAge as one of the “Top Ten Women in Technology” in January 2017 and Women’s Wear Daily listed her among the “Top Industry Transformers” in December 2016. Mushahwar holds a bachelor’s degree in computer science and an MBA in international business (both summa cum laude) and is an alumna of Columbia’s Graduate School of Business in New York. Jackie Lewis joined Cleveland Research Company in 2010 on the equity side of the business covering the food retail and foodservice industries. She has since moved to market research where she currently serves as Director of the Traditional Retail Council, dedicated to writing research and hosting events for supplier and manufacturers selling into the mass, club, grocery, dollar, drug, and specialty retail channels.
Previously, Jackie worked as Data and Media Manager for a full-service B2B marketing agency in Chicago, overseeing all media and data-related purchases internally and for the firm’s clients. Jackie lives in Chicago with her husband and border collie mix, Scout. She holds a Bachelor’s of Business Administration from the University of Notre Dame.

Rusty Wilson is a Senior Research Analyst at Cleveland Research covering softlines retail including department stores, off-price, mass/club, sporting goods, specialty and online channels. Rusty joined Cleveland Research in 2013. Prior to Cleveland Research, Rusty started his career at Saks Fifth Avenue as an Executive Trainee and an associate in retail planning and financial forecasting. Rusty graduated from The Ohio State University Fisher College of Business in 2012. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst® (CFA) charterholder.
